For parents of children 5 to 13 years of age, this special (2 day) Workshop will explore strategies that can help parents effectively communicate sexual knowledge to their children, in a timely manner, without overwhelming the child’s emotional senses… or the Parents!

Friday Session – The Preparation Side of Sex Education

Saturday Session – The Indirect Method of Communicating Sexual knowledge & Hot Topics

  • The Parental Mindset
  • The 4 Phases of the Indirect Method
  • Hot Topics – Pornography, LGBTQ+, Puberty, Dating, Sexual Experimentation


Parenting the Middle Years

Tuesdays 6:45 – 8:15pm, Starting 9/27
5 Sessions

Parenting the Middle Years provides parents of 7-13 yr olds, practical parenting strategies to help prepare you and your child for the teen years.  This parenting series will explore many issues and topics that parents find challenging including: 

  • The nature of compliance to parental instruction
  • Peer Pressure versus Family Identity
  • Transitioning from Parental Authority to Parental Influence
  • Critical conversations – Sex, Drugs, and Hormones
  • Cyber parenting in the Digital Age
  • Awareness of “The Seven Warning Flags”
