Context is Everything: Psalm 37:4

“Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.” It is easy to take this verse and conclude that God is like a giant Santa Claus or Genie who grants us whatever is on our wish list. When looking at the context and deeper meaning of this beloved verse, we discover the heart of our loving Father, one that truly wants to satisfy the deepest longings of our hearts that are in direct alignment with the desires that God has for us.
