When it comes to our life stories, what we see, the things that are presented, often do not reveal the fulness or deeper parts of the real story. They don’t completely reveal the larger and greater workings of God, the One who is the ultimate author of all our stories. At first appearance, Joseph’s life seems to be filled with only unjust and cruel events. A closer look into this wild and redemptive story reveals the behind-the-scenes workings of a good God who continues to do His good work in all of our lives today.
The Lord is My Shepherd
What does it mean for the Lord to be our Shepherd? According to David in Psalm 23, it means that we shall never be in want of anything. We will be made to slow down, quiet down, and sit down. Our souls will be restored and whole, like they were designed to be from the beginning. We shall not fear evil or death – no matter what we’re facing. Many of us know the Psalm… Let’s make sure we know the Shepherd.
