According to recent statistics, 92% of consistent American churchgoers give less than 2% of their income to their local church. Is this a form of “Christian Atheism”? Yes. We look toward heaven and ask why God is not blessing us or helping us, answering our prayers, loving us, protecting and providing for us… and yet we live in constant disobedience to God and God’s Word. When we surrender every area of our lives to God, including our giving & finances, we will see God and Jesus Christ in new and exciting ways.
The Lord is My Shepherd
What does it mean for the Lord to be our Shepherd? According to David in Psalm 23, it means that we shall never be in want of anything. We will be made to slow down, quiet down, and sit down. Our souls will be restored and whole, like they were designed to be from the beginning. We shall not fear evil or death – no matter what we’re facing. Many of us know the Psalm… Let’s make sure we know the Shepherd.
