The Lord is My Shepherd

What does it mean for the Lord to be our Shepherd? According to David in Psalm 23, it means that we shall never be in want of anything. We will be made to slow down, quiet down, and sit down. Our souls will be restored and whole, like they were designed to be from the beginning. We shall not fear evil or death - no matter what we’re facing. Many of us know the Psalm… Let’s make sure we know the Shepherd.

What is Church? Part 3: Fellowship

In Matthew 4:19 we examined Jesus’ call to evangelism. In Philippians 4:19 we celebrated God’s promise of provision. In 1 John 4:19 we remembered that we love because He first loved us.

Colossians 4

The unknown and unsung heroes of the faith should be examples to us that it is more important to be well-known in heaven than well-known on earth.

Colossians 1

Paul's letter to the Colossions can be organized into two main categories: what Jesus has done and what Christians should do.

Renew Your Mind: This Means War

How do we renew our minds? We go to war. Taking thoughts captive, setting our minds on things above, fixing our minds on God’s Word, and fighting the good fight with the armor and weapons God has provided, gives us the best chance of victory on the battlefield of the mind.
